Taj. Definitely it’s a great work of the Mughal dynasty. I was mesmerized by its beauty. But what I noticed there was that being a city having one of the 7 wonders of the world, it’s not maintained well. People are more busy regarding their own business. All the roads around the Taj are dirty and no one, I think, is conscious about that.

It was past noon when we reached Agra and the Taj. There’s a lot written about visiting Taj on a full moon night. We were the ones to visit it in peak hot season in blazing sunlight!!! As soon as you enter through the main entrance it’s a feast to the eyes.

Our delhi/agra sojourn got over in no time. It was back to good ole Mumbai and to the grind. I must mention here that even though it was so hot the kids enjoyed themselves and there were no complaints about the heat. It’s important to remember and drink water continuously in that heat even if you do or don’t feel thirsty as one can easily get dehydrated.

The most enduring monument to love, built by the fifth Mughal emperor as the final resting place for beloved Mumtaj Mahal is at threat these days. The monument after saving its life from deadly clutches of Taj Corridor , countless factories in its vicinity is ultimately falling to the might of world power.

When you visit Agra, do not fail to see Taj mahal in "chandni raath". You can see Taj mahal at the night only 2 days before full moon day, on the full moon day and 2 days after full moon day. The rest of the time it is closed for night viewing. They have limited tickets on sale, so you have to book one day in advance or get hold of a good travel agent who can do that for you. Taj Mahal is the perfect example showing the knowledge, ability, capability of Indians. At the time when Taj Mahal was build there were no engineering institutions which could train the people.People do not come here to see the beauty of Taj Mahal. People come here to understand the architecture and engineering used in Taj Mahal that’s why Taj Mahal comes under the category of seven wonders.

Security is very tight Outside and no Electronic items ( Except Cameras ) are allowed inside the Taj . The Taj looks awesome. No adjectives can do justice to its majestic beauty & Grandeur . The Govt in recent years has done a good job in Beautification of Taj ( particularly in De-sulphurisation ) by Banning commercial vehicles within 3 Kms radius

Our 1st stop was Jaipur-City of magnificent palaces and forts- Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, were some of the attractions. I just loved seeing these relics of the past and wondered about the rich history that the sands of Rajasthan possess! On our way to Jhunjhnu, we stopped at Chokhi Dhani- a restaurant seeped with the hospitality of Rajasthan. You just cannot forget the taste of delicious Rajasthani food, the colourful Bandhnis, the soul stirring music and best of all the perfect royal ambience!

Shopping in Rajasthan is very enticing. What with all the handlooms, artefacts ethnic wear and jewellery- all invite you to splurge. But one should be cautious while spending as the sellers are very) and if you do not have proper knowledge you would be spending Rs. 100/- for a Rs. 10/-. But if you have a n agent with you then nothing stops you! I would say 3 cheers for Rajasthan! It is a perfect place for the Tourism board to invest and promote as a destination India to foreigners!!!

I’ve always admired the Rajasthani culture. The People, the garments, the festivals and everything. One thing which comes into my mind when I think of Rajasthan is Royalty, the lovely palaces and their grandeur. We were on a trip to Raj for 12 nights and 13 days in the month of April. It is actually enough if you want to just move around Rajasthan.

It is not easy for a Westerner to comprehend, much less appreciate the sprawling and wondrous Rajasthan few lands hold such power to shock and enthrall. With the 20th Century biopic appearances, it unravels the true beauty of our heritage which we have treasured since the colonial rule. It is not only extraordinarily profound but it depicts the godess the hindu firmament, Brahma and Vishnu.

Nahargarh is the place which attractd me the most!May be because of it’s myths like in the Durg cafe(cafe of nahargarh)ghosts can be seen with naked eyes after the sunset or let it be the Mayor’s confrence in which an inviable soul slapped one of the mayor.Let it be any reason, but the place is really haunting!

In fact, today, kerala is the only state in india which practises this system of medicine with absolute dedication Kerala - a perfect blend of culture & nature Capital:Though a bit of a tongue-twister, Thiruvananthapuram - the present official name, is closer to it’s mythological origins.

Varanasi is a city of temples. Almost every road crossing has a nearby temple. Such small temples form the basis of daily local prayers and other rituals. But there are many large temples too, erected at different times through out the history of Varanasi.

There are nearly 100 ghats in Varanasi. Every ghat has its own story. The ghat one can go easily is Dashashwamedh Ghat.. To seek salvation, for fun, out of curiosity, nearby destination or free holiday – your excuse can be any but do visit, it is a tour of cultural diversity. It is a holy city for Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Muslims.

The Ganges Ghats water is nt quite clean, but nothing comes close to the feeling of peace and being one with nature and God when you take a boat ride on the river at 4 am. The city’s many sacred buildings include - 18th century golden temple of Lord Shiva and the Durga temple of the same era. Across the river Ganga, the 17th century Ram nagar fort is situated which is the home of the maharajas of Benares or Varanasi. People take holy dip in the river Ganga to wash out their sins. This place has a very rich collection of the temples located along side of River Ganga. Varanasi has a great center for learning and civilization for all. What an experience

Every person visiting India should visit Varanasi. The things one has to overlook is teeming population, roaming cattle especially marked bulls’ (which are marked and left to roam as part of some religious belief), beggars and dirty alleys. One can understand the failure of civic authorities on these accounts as this city receives lots of local and foreign tourists as well as ever increasing native population.

Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in India / World . And it is famous in various ways, but especially in India, All Hindus want to be taken to Varanasi at least during their old age so that they can breath their last there . The belief has it that if you breathe your last there, you will go to Heavens – “whatever it means”.

The city itself is not very clean, but the BHU campus is an exception and is kept impeccably clean. Varanasi is also known as “Kashi” and its mention is found even in some Vedic literature and Puranas . The word “kashi” is mentioned in some Vedic chanting and other Mantras . So we can imagine its and ancient antiquity.
